At VBodies, we keep the classes small (max 4 persons), and the studio is intimate. Matthew and Lyz lead every class, and they great care of each person in every class. Matthew invented the Powerformer machines to COMBINE the results of of weight training and reformer Pilates. After 10,000 workouts-- we can attest-- they sure can turbocharge a Pilates workout, without sacrificing one bit of safety. Whether your goals are for health or beauty-- with our workouts you will achieve both! VBodies Mueller is a small physical community of unique individuals, who share an enthusiasm for our 'alternative' workouts. We are more safe, more precise, and more fun than the ol' gym-- plus we'll get you real body results!

About Matthew


"Pilates saved my body. After 10 years as a personal trainer and aerobics teacher-- my body began breaking down at the young age of 28. I had a host of old injuries caused by my active lifestyle, and traditional exercise was putting me in a cycle of pain-- weightlifting hurt my neck and shoulder, yoga hurt my low back, and running hurt my left foot and knee. After years of imbalances, I couldn't manage my pain anymore. I stopped trusting my body, and stopped exercising as much as a trainer can. At one time, I almost quit my passion, my career-- because I didn't see an avenue towards my own health-- let alone how to help others. I finally stepped into the Pilates studio in 2010, while working at Chelsea Piers SportsCenter in New York. Within a week of doing workouts, I was much stronger and more 'connected' than before. Guided by the principles of Pilates, my body was literally re-organizing it's strength patterns. Within a month-- my back, neck, left shoulder, left knee, and left foot problems were 'fixed'. Now I am super-flexible, core strong, total-body strong, postured and pain-free-- my body feels younger than it did a decade ago. This is all due to Pilates.

I immediately began a 2,000 hour Pilates certification journey, and spent 4 years studying under 2 master instructors. In 2015, I opened VBodies Studio in Austin as a testament to our gentle, but highly-effective workout style. Our Powerformer machines are unparalleled in the training world. You don't need other people working on your body to keep you pain-free. Our workouts empower you to improve your body-- with your movement. Matthew studied Kinesiology at the University or Texas, Austin, and apprenticed for 2 years for UT Men's Basketball and Train 4 the Game, under master coach Todd Wright, CSCS. He spent 10 years training, studying and traveling in California and New York, and returned home in 2015 to open VBodies. Since opening in September 2015, he has led over 10,000 workouts at VBodies' home studio in Austin, TX, and has given over 400 free 'Intro to Pilates' workouts to the local Mueller community. He deeply cares for every member at VBodies, especially his parents, who workout at VBodies several times a week.

Miss Texas 'Texie' is the boxer puppy in the photos, she is the professional door-dog and Matthew's great companion.
